If you’ve been watching twitter, you’ll know that I’ve been on vacation for the last week in L.A. I’d hoped to throw up a couple updates here during that time, but quickly found out I just needed a complete break. I’m sure you know the feeling.
WELL — now vacation is over… kind of. I’ll actually be staying out here in Hollywood house-sitting for my sister for a month while she treks over to Thailand. Drop me a line or @alexlinebrink me if you’ll be in the L.A. area in that time and want to meet up!
On a side note — travel. That’s an official “indie living” tip. It’s wonderful. Sometimes the best way to know yourself and be real to that is to find the stuff that jives with your soul. What better way to do that then to go different places and experience new things?
California comes highly recommended too. It’s beautiful here. Inspiring, really.

I definitely agree with you about how inspiring traveling can be as far as being real with one’s self. Each time I travel or move into a new place I develop a new perspective on both my life and our world. I develop a more inspiring world view that include greater appreciation of the many types of people who reside within our borders. This is especially true whenever I travel by myself, as the situation of being out on my own forces me to put my reservations behind and talk with strangers. Thus, I am most spontaneous when I travel on my own, and I’ve met a lot of interesting people because of this.
California is definitely beautiful in many ways. When I first arrived there from Michigan, I was amazed at the ethnic diversity that is here, and also this energy that I haven’t felt anywhere else. It can be difficult to get used to, however.
Have fun and enjoy yourself at Hollywood!

Wayne!
It’s SOOO good to hear from you! Dude, you are a wise man. If anyone would have good input on this, it’d be you. I guess that’s just what a 60 hour bus-ride does to a guy
Love ya, bro!
