Artist’s View 02: The DETAILED art of wine-making (From Dan @ Pentamere Winery).

This interview was done at the 2008 Jackson, MI Wine and Arts Festival with Dan - the wine-maker from Pentamere Winery. Dan gives an awesome interview on the creative process of making wine. He talks about the importance of balance (I quote: “Too much acid and it rips your face off!”), trying different grapes (there are over 8000 varietals in commercial production!), blending, and being creative and original.

The most impressive thing about Dan and his wines to me, is eagerness to try new things.  His obedience is to making a great-tasting wine before sticking to the traditional methods of wine-making.  Way to be a pioneer, Dan!

This is a must see.
